WELCOME TO THE HILL COUNTRY APS ADVISORY BOARD
SERVING THE HILL COUNTRY REGION
The Hill Country APS Advisory Board is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the safety, dignity, and well-being of vulnerable and at-risk adults throughout our communities. As a volunteer-led organization, we support the mission of Adult Protective Services by promoting community awareness, advocating for vulnerable adults, and expanding access to resources that enhance the safety and well-being of older adults and adults with disabilities.
Through advocacy, education, collaboration, and community partnerships, we work to increase awareness of adult abuse, neglect, self-neglect, and exploitation while supporting initiatives that strengthen services for vulnerable adults. We are committed to fostering community engagement, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration, and identifying opportunities to improve outcomes for individuals who rely on protective and supportive services.
Our Mission
The Hill Country APS Advisory Board is committed to protecting the safety, dignity, and well-being of vulnerable adults throughout our communities. Through strong partnerships, community education, and meaningful advocacy, we work to prevent abuse, neglect, and exploitation while expanding access to the resources and support individuals need to live safely and with dignity.
Community Partnerships
We bring together Adult Protective Services, healthcare professionals, first responders, community organizations, caregivers, and local leaders to strengthen the network of care for vulnerable adults. By working together, we create lasting solutions that make a meaningful impact.
Education & Awareness
Knowledge is one of the most effective tools for prevention. We provide educational opportunities, community outreach, and valuable resources that help individuals recognize the signs of abuse, neglect, exploitation, and self-neglect while promoting awareness of available support services.
Advocacy & Action
We champion initiatives, policies, and community efforts that protect vulnerable adults and uphold their rights. Through advocacy and action, we strive to build safer communities where every older adult and adult with a disability is treated with compassion, respect, and dignity.
